Hola,  I'm Ms. G (aka: Ms. Gallegos).  I'm very excited to be part of the Midland "Essentials" Specials team.  These past 26 years I've enjoyed teaching all ages (pre-K through college) and in a variety of subjects - but my favorite of all is Art.   Quite often I secretly teach math, science, and literacy....through Art, but shhhh, don't tell the kids. They think they're just having fun.  🙂

I'm a Colorado native but grew up in New Mexico so I proudly claim dual-stateship. My hobbies include Art, rock collecting, baking, and ....and ....and....I just always love learning new things.  Y si, soy un poco bilingue en Ingles y Espanol. (And yes, I'm a bilingual in both English and Spanish).

Hello! My name is Myracle Wade, and I am so excited that I am a part of the Midland Elementary team as the General Music and Band teacher!

I was raised in Colorado City which is about 30 miles south of Pueblo (not the old one) from 2006-current. I recently moved to Colorado Springs in search for a better teaching opportunity and I am so honored to be a part of this community. I attended CSU-Pueblo with my bachelor’s and graduated in May of 2024. My mother who was a backup singer for Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin is my inspiration to pursue music as my career! I always knew growing up that I was going to do music, but when my high school choir experience was not the best, I went to college, so I give students a better experience then what I had!

When I am not teaching, I just can’t get away from music, so I sing in five different languages as an opera soloist as a cantor at my church as well as their soprano section leader! I am currently apart of two choirs with the Soli Deo Gloria organization which is the largest choir in southern Colorado since 1973. I also LOVE watching NFL games and exploring the springs with one of my closest friends!

“Music is the universal language of mankind” and I am proud to give students that gift every day while fighting to keep music in our public schools!

Hello. My name is Mark Gracy and I am very pleased to be teaching at Midland Elementary this school year. I was born in Canton, Ohio (1966) and my family moved to Colorado Springs in 1973. I attended school at Penrose, Sabin and graduated in 1984 from Doherty HS. While at Doherty I ran Cross Country, High Jump in Track, and JV Basketball my sophomore year, Varsity during my junior and senior years. I was also in the Chamber Choir. After graduating, I was recruited to play college basketball at the College of Great in Great Falls Montana but broke by foot and redshirted. The basketball program folded and I transferred to Wayne State College in Wayne Nebraska where I played basketball for two seasons. I started my basketball coaching career as an assistant at Pender HS in Pender, NE.

I graduated college in 1989 and came back to Colorado Springs where I was an assistant basketball coach at Doherty HS and started my teaching career as a paraprofessional at Sabin. I have taught and coached at DeBeque, Wasson, and was at Hanover ES/MS/HS for 22 years where I was the head boys basketball coach. I also coached Volleyball, MS track, and was the Athletic Director for five years. I left Hanover in 2018 and have been substitute teaching and working at Domino's Pizza as a delivery driver for 3 years. I have been married for 26 years to my beautiful wife Jackie, and have two daughters, Keagan (24) and Kylee (21). I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue my teaching career here at Midland, where I plan on having lots of fun with the students in PE Class.
